Ferrars & York - Sustainable Urban Living

Webster Survey Group worked with HIP V. on HYPE in the development of Ferrars & York, a groundbreaking multi-level apartment building located just 100 meters from the iconic South Melbourne Market. Completed in August 2022, Ferrars & York comprises 22 award-winning carbon-neutral apartments, embodying excellence in climate-resilient design and construction.

Our role encompassed all surveying work necessary for the subdivision of individual apartments into separate freehold titles. Additionally, we undertook the critical task of monitoring the rail overpass on York Street to ensure stability and zero movement during the construction phase.

Ferrars & York, a collaborative effort with Six Degrees Architects and constructed by Ironside, stands as a testament to sustainable urban living. Powered by 100% renewable energy, the building boasts a remarkable average energy rating of 8.6 stars out of 10. This exceptional rating translates into unparalleled comfort for occupants, featuring consistent air temperatures, superior acoustic performance, significantly reduced energy bills, and a minimized carbon footprint.
